Azure Generative AI adoption: 1-Month Proof of Concept

Awara IT

Setup of Azure OpenAI Service and our complimentary free open-source solution developed on PowerApps to deliver secure and comprehensive generative AI, tailored for your business needs.

Objective:

Demonstrate the potential and feasibility of incorporating Generative AI into the company's operations using Azure Open AI Service. Additionally, deploy an end-user application built with Power Apps to showcase the real-world application of the generated AI content.

Week 1: Define and Understand

  1. Stakeholder Meetings:

    • Gather requirements and objectives from relevant departments.
    • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for the PoC.
  2. Scope Definition:

    • List potential use cases for Generative AI within the company.
    • Prioritize and select a specific use case for the PoC.
  3. Infrastructure Assessment:

    • Evaluate the current integration of Azure services.
    • Recommend necessary upgrades or integrations, ensuring compatibility with Azure Open AI Service.

Week 2: Setup and Data Collection

  1. Tool and Platform Configuration:

    • Initiate Azure Open AI Service and configure it for optimal performance.
    • Setup the Power Apps environment to prepare for the end-user application development.
  2. Data Collection and Preprocessing:

    • Identify necessary data sources for the chosen use case.
    • Gather and preprocess data, ensuring it's formatted correctly for Azure Open AI Service.

Week 3: Development and Testing

  1. Model Development:

    • Begin training generative AI models using Azure Open AI Service with the preprocessed data.
    • Fine-tune models for desired outputs relevant to the chosen use case.
  2. Power Apps Development:

    • Design and develop the open-source application on Power Apps that end users will interact with.
    • Integrate the Generative AI outputs from Azure into the Power Apps application.
  3. Testing:

    • Validate the generative AI outputs within the Power Apps application.
    • Conduct user testing sessions to ensure the application's usability and the relevance of the generated content.

Week 4: Review and Feedback

  1. Stakeholder Demonstration:

    • Showcase the capabilities of the developed Generative AI solution within the Power Apps application.
    • Collect feedback regarding both the generated content and the application's functionality.
  2. Analysis:

  • Evaluate the outcomes against the pre-defined KPIs.
  • Document successes, challenges, and learnings.
  1. Recommendation and Roadmap:
  • Based on the PoC outcomes, suggest the next steps for a full-scale Generative AI implementation.
  • If positive, design a roadmap for expanding the adoption across the company using Azure and Power Apps.
  1. Closure:
  • Compile the PoC activities, findings, and feedback.
  • Submit a comprehensive report to company leadership.

Deliverables:

  1. Scope and objective document.
  2. Detailed weekly progress reports.
  3. Configured Azure Open AI Service model(s).
  4. Power Apps end-user application.
  5. User testing results and feedback.
  6. Final PoC analysis report and recommendations.

Note: While the outlined plan is comprehensive, it's essential to remain adaptable to unforeseen challenges or changes in objectives as the PoC progresses.
