Axians Microsoft Fabric: 1-Day Workshop

Overview:

Training and tech immersion session on Microsoft Fabric. Microsoft Fabric is a Modern Data & Analytics Platform, and currently the most comprehensive platform to leverage the transformation of your organization’s raw data into insightful findings. Learn the concepts and how to use Microsoft Fabric for data engineering, data visualization and analytics to maximize productivity and make better data-driven decisions, supported by out-of-box AI features.

The objective with this Workshop is to empower people with experience and knowledge in Microsoft Fabric. Target audience: Teams and professionals looking to get into Microsoft Fabric or data professionals that need to transition current knowledge in existing Microsoft data tools into the Fabric environment.

This workshop can be provided in English and Portuguese languages.

This is customizable for distinct audiences, ranging for data personas with knowledge on traditional Data & Analytics toolset, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databases, to people that are getting into data analysis and engineering roles. Tailored to your team’s unique needs: additional modules can be added to the workshop (reach us for more information).

Plans:

2 training sessions: Designed to 2 attendees per session (Can be adjusted to more attendees. Ask us for an adjusted quotation). Can be scheduled to be provided on a single day (morning + afternoon) or on distinct days, if necessary.

Session 1

• Fabric architecture, concepts, features and use cases about Fabric
• Power BI integration in Fabric’s ecosystem
• AI and ML native features integrated on the Fabric environment, for more advanced analytical capabilities. Duration: 3 hours

Session 2

• Live demo workshop with fictional use case
• Creation and exploration of a Lakehouse and Warehouse;
• Pipeline and Gen2 Dataflow configuration for data ingestion / transformation / orchestration
• Spark notebook invocation;
• Semantic model and Power BI report build with simple visualizations and metrics
• Q&A Duration: 2 hours
