HR Analytics Modernization for a Leading Wellness & Healthcare Company Using Microsoft Fabric
As part of a leading wellness enterprise’s HR analytics initiative, a modern data architecture was designed and implemented using Microsoft Fabric. This project involved creating a Lakehouse and Warehouse environment to consolidate and streamline HR data for scalable, unified storage and processing. On top of this foundation, an interactive Power BI reporting layer was developed to provide actionable insights into key HR metrics, including manpower costs, hiring efficiency, attrition trends, and workforce diversity. The solution empowers HR professionals to make data-driven decisions and drive strategic workforce planning across the organization.
Project Features 1.Lakehouse Architecture • Implementation of a new Lakehouse in Microsoft Fabric. • Supports both structured and unstructured data ingestion.
2.Warehouse Setup • Creation of a SQL-based Fabric Warehouse for reporting and analytics. • Structured schema aligned with business domains. • Designed to support high-performance querying and Power BI reporting.
3.Automated Data Pipelines • Data ingestion from Silver to Gold layer. • ETL/ELT pipelines built using Fabric’s Dataflows Gen2 or Notebooks. • Ensures clean, validated, and transformed data for downstream use.
4.Power BI Report Development • Development of interactive Power BI dashboards for key HR metrics. • Dashboards cover: o Manpower Cost Analysis o Hiring Cost & Fill Rate o Exit & Attrition Trends o Goal Tracking & Diversity Metrics • Integrated with Row-Level Security (RLS) for department- or role-based data access.
5.Scalability & Performance • Leveraged Fabric capacity for scalable performance and concurrent access. • Optimized warehouse tables for report load time and responsiveness.
