CGI Plan and Migration to Azure VMware Solution

Contingent on the execution of the CGI Cloud Discovery Workshop empowered by NetApp and Microsoft, this CGI AVS Plan and Migration offer focuses on preparing the scope of required efforts, costing and technology for an AVS migration. The migration plan will be followed by agreed upon private offer to perform the migration of the VMware workloads to AVS, Azure NetApp Files (ANF), NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO), and/or other Microsoft-native technology.
AVS Plan
Our data-driven approach to VMware workload migration optimizes cost and performance for your organization. Based on the insights gathered from the CGI Cloud Discovery Workshop and additional interviews as required, we provide you with an end-to-end AVS migration project plan that we will collaboratively develop together. We will produce a phased pathway to ensure intertwined workloads seamlessly migrate by leveraging NetApp Data Infrastructure Insights (DII) to uncover critical system interconnections, minimize unforeseen issues, and ensure a smooth, zero-risk migration. This collaborative plan will be approved by you before we proceed.
Leveraging NetApp DII to determine the right location for your workloads , we intelligently move workloads to the most economical and/or performing infrastructure based on your organization’s tailored data. NetApp Cloud Volume ONTAP (CVO) can support your requirements for block-based workloads with predictable performance and latency, while ANF for scalable high-performance cost-effective file-based workloads certified to work with AVS, or native solutions as determined by our collaborative process.
This includes historical data to right-size workloads and network interdependency validation to accurately set up the Azure landing zone.
The plan includes detailed solution design which includes architecture diagrams and a solution design document. Our architecture diagrams describe how networking, HA/DR, backup, management, monitoring, and load balancing will work together in the new environment. Our solution design document details the AVS configuration and Azure services integration relevant to your environment.
AVS Migration
When this plan and design is reviewed and agreed upon, we automate and secure migration using Azure Migrate and/or other appropriate tools which may include any of VMware HCX platform, VMware vMotion mechanism, Commvault, RiverMeadow, Rubrik, and SHIFT.
Post-migration, we document our service validation, testing process and results to demonstrate that the implemented solution meets your expectations. We conclude with post-deployment documentation to equip your team for success in using the new service on Azure.
