Embee’s Cloud Migration Services to Azure

Our approach includes a structured five-phase process designed to minimize disruption and ensure successful migration. This includes: These phases are:

1. Assess: In this phase we evaluate the current “As-is” state of the source infrastructure. This includes, understanding the applications, hypervisor, operating system and Data base versions, their compatibility on Azure, existing security postures, and other prerequisites to migrate to Azure. This phase involves identifying the workloads, to be migrated, workload dependency mapping, workload grouping for migration and finalization of migration wave plan.
2. Design: In this phase, Embee's technical team designs the Azure Landing Zone considering various elements including compute, storage, network configurations, security, identity & access and disaster recovery while meeting core principle of Microsoft Well architected framework (WAF), reliability, security, cost optimization, operational excellence, and performance efficiency.
3. Build & Migrate: This phase involves configuring infrastructure including defining the network topology, establish Azure Virtual Network, implement Azure ExpressRoute or VPN for secure connections between on-premises and Azure environments, configure Azure Active Directory for managing user identities and access control, implement security and monitoring Setup. Once the build phase is over, workloads will be migrated based on the migration wave plan created in the assessment phase. For migration we use Azure Migrate, HCX (applicable for AVS), or other third-party tools based on the requirement.
4. Test: Embee’s team will carry out performance and functional tests to make sure that every component—including the network, storage, computing, and others are performing as they should. This phase includes validating application performance, security configurations, and data integrity. The performance testing ensures solution satisfies the necessary performance standards.
5. Monitor, Manage & Optimize: Embee provide 24/7 Azure managed services. As a part of this service, we will continuously monitor the Azure environment with Azure Monitor and other tools to optimize the performance and the cost. Our FinOps services, that are part of our managed services help in optimizing the Azure Costs.
