HCLTech Cloud Workspaces provides customers a secure, compliant and flexible virtual desktop environment that is optimized for hybrid work. It provides protection against data loss, simplifies the management of your workplace environment, facilitates the introduction of new use cases such as BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and provides better support for fluctuating workforces.

This Proof-of-Concept helps customers to experience desktop virtualization in their own workplace environment and to assess the user experience and performance of the solution.

Scope

• Shared Virtual Desktop (Windows 10 / Windows 11 multi-session or Windows Server OS), Persistent Virtual Desktop (Windows 10 / Windows 11 single session)

• Up to 5 standard SaaS applications

• Up to 5 non-standard applications

• 1-2 custom OS image for Shared Virtual Desktops

• AVD Native or Citrix Control plane

• Single Azure Region

Deliverables

• Working AVD POC environment

• Proof-of-Concept report with observations and recommendations

Pre-requisites

• Customer has an Azure subscription, AAD Sync’ing is implemented, customer is eligible for AVD (eg through E3/E5/Windows 10 licenses)

• Customer provides installation packages and installation guide for custom applications and contributes to OS image preparation

• Technical dependencies as per Microsoft requirements

Customer responsibilities

• Network configuration is customer responsibility
