Workshop Overview
In this one-day hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to leverage Microsoft Fabric’s integrated features to enrich real-time streamed data with historical and heterogeneous data sources. All data is processed live through a medallion architecture and made available for analysis and visualization using Fabric’s real-time dashboards. We explore Fabric’s powerful on-the-fly processing capabilities and demonstrate how to create and visualize metrics, KPIs, and reports tailored to different audiences—both data science teams and management.

Workshop Objectives
The target audience for this hands-on workshop is Power BI users new to Fabric, looking to integrate it into existing workflows to boost efficiency and productivity. By the end of the workshop, participants:
  • can identify specific scenarios where Microsoft Fabric adds value
  • will be able to access various data sources and make them available in Microsoft Fabric (e.g., real-time streams, folder-based files)
  • understand the core components for data processing and streaming in Microsoft Fabric (e.g., Eventstreams, Eventhouses, Lakehouses)
  • know how to use Kusto Query Language (KQL) for live data processing and visualization
  • an build meaningful reports and dashboards using Microsoft Fabric’s real-time dashboard features


This workshop also serves as an open forum for participants to ask questions and discuss additional features. Upon request, topics can be customized with user-specific content blocks.
