Microsoft Fabric Pilot: 3 Week Proof of Concept

Our pilot program will assess Fabric’s innovative features and determine how your company can benefit from them. We will work together with you to integrate and import your data, and to give you a comprehensive overview of Fabric’s general capabilities and how they can be applied to your organization.

Microsoft Fabric is tightly integrated with other Microsoft solutions allowing it to significantly simplify the experience of ingesting, transforming, and presenting data.

Week 1: Planning & Setup

• Profile data source (up to 10 tables)
• Design data model for 5 dimensions and 1 Fact table
• Create workspaces
• Create Fabric objects (Lakehouse, Warehouse)
• Configure and test

Week 2: Ingestion & Reporting

• Ingest data from source into Fabric
• Load dimensional model into Warehouse
• Configure Direct Lake dataset
• Build one report with Direct Lake

Week 3: Reporting & Knowledge Transfer

• Testing & Review
• Knowledge Transfer
• Document solution
