Azure Migrate and Modernize: Assessment

Azure Migrate and Modernize (AMM) supports your organization in the discovery of on-premises server workloads and enables their migration to the Microsoft Azure environment. Sentinel runs an Azure Migrate tool to generate a report analyzing the migration of your workloads to Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), including physical and virtual servers, databases, web applications, and virtual desktop instances on Windows, Linux, and/or Structured Query Language (SQL). You will also receive a review of your SQL Server services, as well as backup and disaster recovery capabilities. The report features a financial analysis with a total cost of ownership (TCO) comparison between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, projected payback period, and overall return on investment. ENGAGEMENT INCLUDES • Deployment of Azure Migrate – a cloud migration tool to discover and assess on-premises resources for the workload being analyzed. • Configuration of Azure Migrate will be conducted using PowerShell, which will require administrative privileges on your servers. • Once the Azure Migrate results have been finalized, a qualified member of the Sentinel team will input the results into the Azure Calculator tool for financial analysis. • Your organization will receive a comprehensive report detailing the estimated cost of fully migrating to Azure, including a total cost of ownership (TCO) comparison between your current on-premises infrastructure to the Azure cloud environment along with an analysis of the return on investment.
