Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is a cloud-based service that allows your employees to access their desktops and applications from anywhere, using any device. It provides a full Windows experience, without the need for physical hardware. This means your team can work remotely with the same efficiency and security as if they were in the office.

Our Azure Virtual Desktop consulting service aligns with Microsoft best practices, including the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework. Our Delivery:

• Assessment: We perform a full assessment of your licensing, user landscape, application landscape, core infrastructure and client requirements to collect data that drives design decisions for AVD, specific to personas, desktops and applications. With this data, we architect the right personalized solution that meets your requirements.
• Design: We develop a complete design that addresses the requirements captured during the Assessment Phase. This includes user density/user segmentation, application landscape, Azure Landing Zone, Identity & Access Management integration, Security, Compliance, network connectivity, Governance, high availability / disaster recovery, host pool sizing, master Windows image, profile storage, load balancing and scaling, monitoring, and patching. The design will be validated against the Azure Well-Architected framework to ensure best practices are followed.
• Proof-of-Concept or Pilot: We execute a small limited PoC or Pilot to evaluate the design, validate user experience and understand cost estimates before production rollout commences. During this phase we will make necessary adjustments based on any findings and feedback.
• Production Deployment: We deploy the final agreed upon design to your production Azure subscription and configure all features based on your requirements.
• Service Validation and Testing: We will test and evaluate the performance of the desktops and applications to validate user experience and performance are within acceptable operating limits and the solution is functioning according to the design.

• Cloud Adoption Plan: A documented project plan of all tasks, milestones and due dates for how our engagement together will be executed and governed.
• Cloud Skilling Plan: A documented plan of how to get your team trained and certified to maintain the new Azure Virtual Desktop solution, including links to Microsoft training resources.
• Azure Landing Zone: An architecture diagram of the Azure Virtual Desktop landing zone where Azure Virtual Desktop will live in your Azure subscription.
• Workload Assessment: A document that describes our assessment of your requirements to drive design decisions around personas, applications, sizing, network, security and other architecture decisions.
• Design and Configuration Guide: As built design documents, consisting of worksheets and diagrams, for how the environment was designed, deployed, and configured to meet your business and technical requirements.
• Test Plan: A document of how the production environment was tested and performance was validated to validate the solution meets your requirements and expectations.
• Operations Guide: A document to help you in getting started for maintaining, troubleshooting and operating your new Azure Virtual Desktop environment.
