Secure and Scalable Secret Management with Delinea PAM

What do you like best about the product?
Delinea Secret Server has strong security features. Using it we can manage our passwords and increase our security properly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, the initial setup is complex and hard to deploy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to manage our passwords on a central platform and increases our security.

A Disappointing Experience

What do you like best about the product?
Overall a very disappointing experience. Nothing nice to say.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our experience with Delinea has been nothing short of disappointing. From the outset, their approach was marred by a lack of proper discovery and an evident disregard for our specific needs. The sales team removed critical features from the Delinea Secret Server to fit our budget, without considering that the product would be rendered practically useless without the missing components—components that they later demanded significantly more money for. This practice is not only misleading but also demonstrates a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. The software fell far short of delivering on its promises, and when we sought a refund, we were met with terrible service and arrogant behaviour from their representatives. Even during the setup of the Secret Server, it was clear that the engineer sent by Delinea lacked the necessary expertise. This only added to our frustration, as we were left to deal with an inadequately configured system that could not meet our security needs. Additionally, we were unpleasantly surprised by hidden extra costs for supplementary EC2 instances, which were never mentioned during the initial discussions. This lack of transparency further eroded our trust in Delinea and highlighted their disingenuous sales practices. Overall, our dealings with Delinea have been characterised by poor customer service, unprofessional behaviour, and a product that failed to meet its advertised capabilities. We strongly advise potential customers to be cautious and consider these significant shortcomings before engaging with Delinea.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to meet our PCI-DSS obligations and improve overoall security posture.

Great Solution

What do you like best about the product?
The connection that the support and developers have with customers. The modern GUI. Constant development of features and functionalities. Ease of implementation. Ease of integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some little frictions and bugs. However, they are being resolved/fixed quite fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
• Increased risk of data breaches and cyberattacks. • Insufficient visibility and control. • Inefficient and time-consuming processes. • Difficulty in meeting compliance requirements.

Delinea makes PAM easy

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Delinea products is the top tier documentation. Not only are Delinea products easy to deploy and configure. But everything you need during the process can be found easily in the documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of ability to use HTTPS proxy is a huge minus also the need to use windowns machines for some components is not great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deliena solves the problem of personal admin accounts in critical systems. It makes access management easier for high privileged accounts.

Mature Identity and Access Management at it's best

What do you like best about the product?
Their platform spans multi-cloud services, enhances admin & end-user experiences, ensuring that the right users have access to the correct assets at the right time and for the right reasons.
What do you dislike about the product?
The license model is a little convoluted depending on the product. It can also be tedious to add/purchase additional seats outside of the annual renewal process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing identities across multiple public clouds and several Azure & Active Directory domains. It also manages our Linux environment and workgroup servers/computers.

Easy to use, piece of mind

What do you like best about the product?
We use Secret Server exclusively, and it’s very easy to use (creating secrets, onboarding users, etc.). It has benefitted us during audits because of the reporting capabilities, as well as, during cybersecurity insurance renewals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the documentation can be difficult to sort through to find answers. However, they do have a user forum to combat this issue… it provides free training videos, among other things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us create a secure central repository for passwords. They can be shared among team members and even between teams. It’s reporting features are great as well.

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Delinea Secret Server daily for more than a year in Systems and Network Administrator tasks. I was impressed by the ease of use and the integrations provided. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple to manage privileged accounts and access. The tool also offer a range of features, including privileged session management, remote access, and credential management, which are essential for any organization looking to secure their sensitive data. It was easy to integrate and deploy, and the service and support provided by the team made the process seamless. Overall, I would highly recommend Secret Server and Delinea to anyone looking for a reliable and secure privileged access management solution. They offer a range of features, excellent customer support, and a user-friendly interface that makes managing privileged accounts and access a breeze.

We have been using Secret Server for more than a year, and we haven’t had any complaints about it

Vaulting, privileged account discovery, session proxy and monitoring, and third-party/partner user management for privileged access

Delinea Secret Server Cloud is Impressive

What do you like best about the product?
I feel like all of our priveleged accounts are a lot safer as we're able to leverage Secret Server Cloud features to manage these accounts. Secret Server Cloud is a very integration friendly platform and has a comprehensive API for integrations like okta, service now, etc...
What do you dislike about the product?
Any scripting has to go through professional services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The rotation and management of service accounts

Secret Server saves time

What do you like best about the product?
Very customizable tool that can help mitigate stuff fatigue as it takes away good amount of helpdesk work.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes in regards of secret server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Password rotation for service accounts and root accounts that need to be secure and w/o stale passwords. Other thing is that secret server helps out dev team to vault the secrets as we are small company and we do not need devops vault. Secret server PAM is enugh

Great solution for on-prem or cloud but cloud can be costly.

What do you like best about the product?
The on-premises solution works well and is reasonably priced. Customer support is very responsive. API integration was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
On-prem upgrades can be a challenge at times as "strange" things seem to happen. We tried migrating to the cloud but it was substantially more expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secret server is solving our issues on where to store passwords, etc. securely. In the past this was done through spreadsheets and such (as many companies probably still do). One great benefit is the ability to not show the password to end users to which they can just launch an RDP session and have the credentials automatically injected into the session.
